Pick 3 Game Information

All you need is three lucky numbers from 0 to 9 to play and win - choose them yourself or let Quick Pick generate them at random.

A Pick 3 ticket costs either $0.50 or $1 per play.

There are different play types, depending on how you want to try to match the numbers the lottery draws. The bet styles have different prizes and chances of winning.

Straight: Match your two numbers in the exact order to the numbers drawn by the lottery. This play type has the highest prizes but also the toughest odds, with a 1 in 100 chance of winning the top prize of $50.

Box: Choose two unique numbers and win $25 if they match both numbers drawn in any order.

Front Digit: Win $5 if your number matches the first number drawn.

Back Digit: Win $5 if your number matches the last number drawn.

Super Straight: Pick two unique numbers and match in any order to win $50. This is a combined play type where you get both possible Straight plays (total cost: $2).

Straight/Box: This is a combined play where you choose two unique numbers and get a Straight play plus a Box play (total cost: $2). Win $50 if you match in exact order, or $25 if you match in any order.

Who wouldn't want even more ways to win? That's just what the Wild Ball option offers. Add it to your ticket and you can use the random Wild Ball number to replace one of the numbers the lottery draws, giving you more chances to take home a prize. Wild Ball doubles the price of your ticket and also has its own prize payouts.

Win the $500 grand prize on a $1 play by matching all three of your numbers to the numbers the lottery draws, in the same order.

There are also more prize levels; the amount you can win depends on your play style and wager amount. Below are the payouts and chances of winning for each bet type and a wager amount of $0.50 or $1 (Straight/Box can only be played with a $0.50 wager).

Pick 3 Plus Wild Ball Prizes and Odds

The Wild Ball add-on has its own prizes and odds - check the table below to see what you could win on a $1 wager. For a $0.50 wager, the prizes are half what is shown.

Pick 3 base game prize: Win this amount if you match the lottery's numbers without needing to use Wild Ball.

Wild Ball prize: Win this amount if you use Wild Ball to create a winning match with the lottery's numbers.

In some cases you can win both prizes. If you can create a winning match without using Wild Ball, and also win if you use Wild Ball, then you'll win both the Pick 3 base prize and the Wild Ball prize.

For example: Your play type is Straight and your numbers are 253. The Wild Ball number is 2. The lottery draws the numbers 253. That means you have both a Straight match using your numbers, and a Straight match using Wild Ball. You win both the $500 Straight prize and the $200 Wild Ball prize - a total of $700.
