Abstract

Examines Ed Sanders’s work Investigative Poetry as both text and method in order to understand Sanders as a teacher and how poetry itself might be brought to bear on the “greater good.” Writing in a style inspired by Sanders’s work, the essay argues for a reconsideration of the use of poetry as both historical record as well as possible intervention into contemporary historical conflicts and issues.
