Fare Free Iowa City is a two-year pilot program that means every ride on Iowa City buses is free for everyone. No transit passes or pocket change needed. If you are new to Iowa City Transit, welcome aboard!

Span of service for weekday fixed-route service operates between 4:10 a.m. and 10:45 p.m. Weekend service is provided between 6:45 a.m. to 6:59 p.m.

DENVER (KDVR) — The Regional Transportation District's “Zero Fare for Better Air” initiative will not return for the 2024 summer season. For the past two years, RTD offered zero fares across its entire system during the peak ozone months of July and August.

Iowa City Transit operates from 6:30 a.m. to 10:30 p.m. Monday through Friday and from 6:30 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Saturdays. From 6 to 9 a.m. and 3:30 to 6:30 p.m., Monday through Friday, Iowa City buses will stop only at designated bus stops. At other times, buses will stop at any intersection along their routes.

TIP: Most bus and rail lines start around 4am and keep running past midnight, but they're less frequent in the evening, so be sure to plan your return trip before you go.

The Los Angeles Metro Rail runs approximately from 4:30 am to 1:30 am, although the schedule varies depending on the line and day of the week. The frequency of trains is approximately between 5 and 10 minutes depending on the time.

The A Line, operated by the Regional Transportation District (RTD), provides rail transportation to and from the airport. It runs every 15 minutes, during peak hours and every 30 minutes from 03:00am to 05:00am and 06:30pm to 01:00 am, between Denver Airport and downtown's Denver Union Station.

The MallRide runs from 4:59 AM to 1:21 AM on weekdays, 5:30 AM to 1:21 AM on Saturdays, and 6:30 AM to 1:21 AM on Sundays and holidays. Buses depart from Union Station and stop at each block intersecting with 16th street between Wazee Street and Welton Street.

The Utah Transit Authority currently operates rail, bus service and other transit options from around 4 a.m. to nearly 1 a.m daily, depending on the route and mode of transportation. Why not after 1 a.m.? Officials say there just isn't enough demand.
