Can anyone recommend a good shampoo to help prevent postpartum hair loss? I had really bad hair loss with my first baby and I’d like to avoid it with my next one due!

I’d recommend staying on your prenatal and trying Nutrafol shampoo/conditioner. I love it!

This is going to sound silly, but put a big handful of whole cloves into your shampoo bottle, and leave them there! Shake it up and just let them be there. My crazy hairloss stopped almost immediately when I started this. I learned this from a random TikTok comment. I was doing the nutrafol postpartum vitamins as well, but the real game changer was the cloves!

Just a heads up, hair loss after pregnancy is actually super normal. When we are pregnant we shed way less and then once pregnancy is over, we shed all that hair that we retained. Unless you're getting bald spots, it's actually supposed to happen.

I’m not sure any special
Shampoo will help with hormonal hair loss.
Since I e been pregnant, I lose one hair a day, and before I was, I would lose 50.
So you’ll probably lose 50-100 per day because it needs to catch up.
Just be gentle with your hair and don’t wash it daily.

I second prenatals. First time I didn’t know and holy I lost so much hair. Second time I was advised to continue taking prenatals so I did for around 6 months to a year and had minimal hair loss.

No shampoo will stop postpartum hair loss. It happens because of hormones. Best thing you can do is find the very best prenatal vitamin (maybe add biotin)…. But for the most part it’s just something that is going to happen

I’m not sure about shampoo for hair loss but I highly recommend the hair spritz from Rowe casa organics! It has rosemary, cedarwood, lavender, and tea tree oils to help naturally thicken your hair. I’ve used it since I had my twins and I think it really does help!

My dermatologist gave me ketoconazole.
I still lost hair but I feel like this shampoo sped up my process of growing it back
